About the Role
The Accounts Assistant reports to the Finance Manager and supports the Finance team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: will have input into the production of both statutory and management accounts for a number of group entities. Primary responsibilities include:
- Entering all incoming cash receipts into the system and allocating accordingly
- Liaising with banks on any transaction queries
- Liaising with vendors where necessary on invoice queries and collection of cheques
- Filing and scanning of accounts payable, cash receipts and bill edits
- preparing bank reconciliations; assisting with month end and year end reporting and preparing non-routine analysis of specific accounts as requested
- Responsible for coding, entering and processing all accounts payable and coordinating payments to vendors

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Higher diploma graduate and above. Relevant experience in a similar role would be a great asset
- Excellent organizational skills, possess strong attention to detail and be able to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to deal with all levels of staff and in foreign offices
- Strong computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
- The role requires a committed team player who can demonstrate flexibility when required in order to meet deadlines.
