Hartford Fire Insurance Company in Hartford, CT, has the following opening for a Staff Software Engineer.

Summary of Duties: Design, configure, build, and maintain software solutions. This includes website creation, API integrations, administering and configuring content management system. Partner with architects and other tech leads to deliver solutions considering cross-functional impacts, standards, and best practices. Provide technical leadership ensuring system performance, stability, and integrity. Become a subject matter expert and technical lead for the websites and applications supported within Corporate IT and Digital Marketing IT. Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact solution delivery and platform stability. Build and implement capabilities for continuous integration and continuous delivery aligned with Enterprise DevOps practices. Drive team innovation leveraging technologies to solve customer problems. Mentor team members on software engineering best practices, solution design and technologies.

Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering; plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or alternate occupation of: Software Developer (all levels), Software Engineer (all levels), Software Development Engineer, System(s) Engineer, Security Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, Computer Programmer, Programmer Analyst, IT Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Web Application Developer, Web Application Programmer, Data Scientist (all levels), Member of Technical Staff, Technical Lead, Project Lead, Manager (all types/levels), Consultant, Associate (all types/levels), Research Assistant, Intern. In addition, position requires 5 years of experience in the following skills: Java and J2EE technologies; API/Web Services (SOAP and REST); AWS Lambda; ECS;Fargate; Cloud Formation; Route 53; S3; AWS Load Balancing (ALB); SQS; SNS; GitHub; Jenkins; Rally; Sonar Qube; Jquery; Java Script.

Salary Range: $144,480.00 - $172,080.00 per YEAR

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$144,480 - $172,080
