The Senior Consultant, Performance Analytics will define and drive the vision and strategy for data and performance analytics for Middle and Large Business Insurance Sales & Distribution discipline. They will cultivate a culture of data driven decision making and accountability and execute on strategic initiatives resulting in revenue growth and/or increased profitability. As a true partner to Sales & Distribution leaders and sales coaches, they will leverage the power of data and analytics to support the pursuit of Middle and Large Business' objectives. This role may expand responsibility to other Middle and Large business.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Columbus, OH) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:
Business Performance Analytics
- Advance Sales & Distribution's suite of performance dashboards. Hypothesis test the correlation of activities/behaviors to outcomes and ensure the right key performance indicators are being prioritized and visualized.
- Advance Middle and Large Business' suite of sales management tools. Provide line of sight into underwriter sale behaviors strengths, and weaknesses. Partner with leadership to define sales strategies and develop the tools necessary to execute on sales strategies.
- Advance Sales & Distribution data currency, including the availability and accuracy of data.
- Perform analytical deep dives into leadership identified topics, deriving insights and actionable recommendations to inform business decision making.
- Gather insights specific to Middle and Large initiatives including Cross Sell - analyze and monitor progress toward goals while identifying key opportunities and trends to drive success.
- Advance Generative AI embeddedness in analytics to drive self service, speed and depth to insight.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measures against Sales & Distribution strategic initiatives and coordinate with other organizations to deliver reporting and analytical solutions.
- Troubleshoot data gaps and data validation through knowledge of database systems and business context.
Business Execution Design, Implementation, Support
- Partner with Sales & Distribution coaches to reinforce and identify gaps in key sale behaviors and routines through data and analytics in support of revenue growth goals of Middle and Large Business Insurance.
- Lead strategic sales planning for Middle and Large Business segments, translating goals into underwriter-level targets and enabling performance-to-goal measurement.
- Serving as a consultant from a sales perspective to business segments, identify, recommend, and execute on strategic initiatives resulting in revenue growth, increased profitability, operational efficiencies, etc.
- Owner and act a SME for Sales Data Domain ensuring completeness, documentation and consumability for all current and future sales use cases.
- Define and refine KPIs and deeps insight into cross sell & account density performance outcomes and behaviors.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation of all Sales Reporting enabling greater self-service usability.
- Develop and maintain industry leading tools which elevate our Customer and Broker experience.
- Exercise data governance over various Sales Reporting platforms and tools (Viewpoint, MFR, Spear, Salesforce, etc) commanding understanding in the differences and nuance in KPIs across platforms and providing clarity and trust in sales data with consumers.
- Support the production of content and analytics for leadership meetings, strategy workshops and town halls.
- Support training needs, including educational messaging on product trends, market dynamics and other topics pertaining to The Hartford and our key competitors.
- Know the end-to-end sales, underwriting and service processes within Middle and Large Business Insurance.
Qualifications:
- Strategic mindset. Ability to design and execute on strategic roadmaps and frameworks.
- Strong project management skills. Able to concurrently move multiple initiatives forward and meet deadlines.
- Understand the Agile Principles preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple workstreams, prioritize work accordingly, and coordinate across multiple functional partners.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Analytical mindset to analyze data sets and derive business insights.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing/Relational Databases and foundational experience with SQL/Snowflake.
- Ability to use and understand visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI - prior development experience desired
- Experience presenting and storytelling from data insights
- Experience leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate insight generation (Preferred)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$92,800 - $139,200
