You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient systems that automate document processing and enhance data extraction capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions for Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) using AWS services and other vendor solutions.
- Develop and maintain IDP workflows to automate document processing, including data extraction, classification, and validation.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate IDP solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IDP systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and IDP technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net and Python.
- Experience with IDP tools and technologies such as OCR, NLP, and machine learning.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$149,600 - $224,400
