Overview of the role: Hartford Funds is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer who is interested in joining our fast-paced, client-focused team. In this role, you will be responsible or performing approximately 70% administrative functions. as well as approximately 30% development efforts. As an Administrator, your role includes configuring, managing, and customizing the Salesforce platform to align with business expectations. As a developer, you will be assigned projects that will leverage your Apex and other relevant skills, to deliver enhancements and new capabilities to our Sales team. You will work closely with a technical lead but will also be able to take requirements and work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Salesforce administration functions (e.g. user access & management, support queue monitoring, 3rd party SFDC app support, perform data loads, exports, facilitate daily triage calls, etc.) with a date & customer focused mindset.
- Work closely with the technical lead, project manager and members of the business to understand the requirements, use cases & expectations.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with other developers and the project manager.
- Effectively manage workload, communicate status, and execute on time.
- Produce a quality deliverable that aligns with requirements/expectations.
- Approach all assignments, big and small, with energy and focus.
- Ensure adequate testing is conducted on deliverables.
- Develop and nurture deep understanding of business needs.
- Provide production support coverage.
Qualifications:
- 1 year or more of Salesforce development experience required
- Experience with both LWC and Aura Components required
- Proven understanding of the options to communicate between components in the Lightning framework
- Experience with Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, and SOQL
- Experience with Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with VS Code, sfdx, and git
- Prior experience with Java or .Net is a plus
- SFDC certifications are a plus
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$80,000 - $100,000
