A Billing Service Analyst is responsible for the Billing and Collections of Middle Large Commercial Premium and Losses in a fast paced, continuously growing environment. Coordinators work cooperatively with customers and associates to ensure optimal customer and Hartford relationships. Use interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and sales skills to accomplish superior customer service results for assigned accounts. Support customer requirements to complete these activities: Provide account specific direction to all internal units involved with client. Receivable management, including all billing and collection processes for Middle and Large Account customers. Maintain all data needs for system calculations and billing set up for assigned accounts. The coordinator is responsible for workflow and processing of daily functions. This involves prioritizing, ensuring timeliness, maintaining a level of quality, providing recommendations, dispute resolution, and reporting variances.

This position can be filled as a Billing Service Analyst or a Senior Billing Service Analyst.

WORK ARRANGEMENTS:

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our offices will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management

  • Single point of contact for assigned accts
  • Work with team to ensure all work loads are being addressed
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to establish work flows in a fast paced, environment
  • Manage required target dates
  • Demonstrates attitude of willingness, cooperation, and concern for business issues.

Customer Service

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to relate to both internal and external customers effectively
  • Recognize and analyze problems of varying degrees of complexity. Independently considers a variety of alternatives to arrive at a timely, practical and effective solution.
  • Places high priority on service and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Builds and maintains successful relationships, coalitions and networks within the company and with external contacts.

Product Knowledge & Professional Development - essential

  • Demonstrates excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates high personal commitment to gain more knowledge and understanding of products, processes and applications of expanding technical and/or business knowledge.
  • Ability to apply prioritization and organizational skills to assigned projects.
  • Knowledge of The Hartford's workflows for both Premium and Losses
  • Insurance background and understanding of the products supported and sold in the Construction and National Markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong Technology and PC skills; general comfort with technology and ability to learn software systems
  • Cognitive & Analytic skills; Decision Making, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Influencing Skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering best in class customer service
  • Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written), Relationship Building
  • Strong business acumen; specifically a keenness and speed in understanding a business situation or need, able to obtain essential information, focus on the key objectives, recognize the relevant options available for a solution, select an appropriate course of action and set in motion an implementation plan to get the job done.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$48,080 - $72,120
