Overview
Salem State University seeks a dynamic Staff Associate to serve as Sports Information Director for Viking Athletics' 15 NCAA Division III programs. This full-time role involves managing comprehensive media relations, creating compelling digital content, coordinating game coverage, and building media relationships. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing abilities, proficiency in content management systems, and social media. Experience with photography, videography, and NCAA regulations preferred. Evening/weekend availability required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications or sports administration, or related field
- Two years of experience in athletics communications
- Two years of experience in sports information operations, including stats and presto or similar platform and supervision of staff
- Experience in website oversight
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in college athletics administration and multi media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to promote athletics initiatives
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities, which requires frequent work on evenings and weekends.
