Job Description:


Collective Bargaining Agreement: This position is a grant funded position governed by the APA collective bargaining unit.

Hours: 37.5

Salary Range $75,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.

The Technology office of Massachusetts College of Art and Design is seeking interested candidates for the position of Report Developer and Training Specialist. Reporting to the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager, the Report Developer and Training Specialist serves as the member of Enterprise Services and Innovations team and supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager and Chief Innovation Officer (CINO).

  • Implement, develop and support effective and efficient technology solutions that meet the needs of the college.
  • Identify the practical implications and system capabilities related to achieving functional goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to fully understand their business problems and design solutions to meet their needs
  • Organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Create instructional materials to be used in training.
  • Oversees design and automation of reports, designs efficient data models and dashboards using Ellucian Insights and oversees Enterprise Services and Innovations training processes and materials, and liaise with departments to provide training.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.


Qualifications

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in report development and training
  • Strong knowledge of relational database practices and techniques
  • Good demonstrable data visualization skills
  • Proficiency in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to MassArt Users.
  • Programming experience in one or more scripting languages.
  • Experience supporting IT in a higher-education setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing task and work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to perform research, analyze results, draft requirements, and formulate technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to and effectively communicate with users with a range of technical skill levels.
  • Willingness to learn new duties and technology-related skills as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training experience in a group business setting.
  • PostgreSQL query language
  • Experience with Colleague UI, Self-Service, Insights and Ethos Integrations
