The Commonwealth of Massachusetts

MassVoice Operations Intern

Boston, MA

Job Description

About us

The Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS) is the state's lead office for information technology. We provide enterprise level information technology services including network management and security; computer operations; application hosting; desktop provisioning and management; and modern and responsive digital services to 40,000 internal stakeholders plus the residents, business owners and visitors to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

About the Role

MassVoice is the Enterprise Telecommunications system for the Executive Branch. The mission of the Unified Communications team at EOTSS is to combine voice and data communication into a single collaborative service, which we offer to the enterprise for a standard experience among all users. With MassVoice, EOTSS is looking to consolidate additional agencies onto the MassVoice cloud and provide a more cost-effective means of telecommunications. In agencies where this may not be possible, we look to connect disparate phone systems on the back end, to eliminate unnecessary charges for calls among state entities. EOTSS is looking for a better enterprise solution for conferencing and screen sharing which can be standard across all Executive Agencies.
