MANAGING ATTORNEY
CRIMINAL BUREAU
WHITE COLLAR & PUBLIC INTEGRITY DIVISION
The Attorney General's Office is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and skilled attorney to serve as the Managing Attorney for the White Collar & Public Integrity Division.
The White Collar & Public Integrity Division is a statewide division under the Criminal Bureau of the Attorney General's Office. This Division consists of a team of statewide prosecutors, who partner with the Massachusetts State Police, other law enforcement, civilian investigators, and victims witness advocates, to handle a broad range of criminal cases, spanning financial crime and public corruption. Financial crime includes fiduciary embezzlement by professionals, complex financial frauds, and tax fraud schemes. Public corruption includes a vast array of schemes involving public officials, public institutions, and public funds.
Primary Duties: The Managing Attorney will work with the Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief to oversee the investigation and subsequent litigation of cases in the White Collar & Public Integrity Division. The Managing Attorney will lead teams within the Division to take on nuanced investigations, litigation, and other priority projects, as well as take responsibility for certain administrative tasks. The Managing Attorney will mentor and provide guidance to other members of the Division, and provide assistance in the development of investigative strategy and trial planning. In addition, the Managing Attorney will continue to perform responsibilities of a line AAG, including handling their own complex cases. The Managing Attorney's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, (a) conducting joint investigations with other federal and state agencies and/or law enforcement agencies; (b) aiding the investigative and prosecutorial efforts of others within the Division; and (c) providing leadership and oversight of other team members' contributions to case prosecutions.
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt.
Location: Boston, MA. Our hybrid model may include some telework days for the successful candidate. For the first six months in the position, the Managing Attorney may be expected to work in the office at least three days per week.
Salary: $127,790

Qualifications
Position Requirements :
• Member of the Massachusetts bar or eligible for admission in short order.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time legal experience, including significant experience as a prosecutor or defense attorney, in white collar or other complex criminal litigation.
• Ability to develop, lead, and oversee highly complex, challenging, and sensitive criminal investigations, present matters to the grand jury, and handle resulting prosecutions from arraignment through conclusion.
• Ability to guide, advise, and mentor other members of the Division in their case work.
• Ability and willingness to assist in researching complex legal issues impacting the work of the division.
• Ability and desire to handle multiple complex and challenging priority matters simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid Massachusetts driver's license is required, as travel is necessary to various courts.
