Overview
The Salem State University undergraduate nursing program is seeking applicants for a Full-Time, Tenure Track (nine month) contract faculty position in Adult Health nursing. The School of Nursing seeks a faculty member who is dedicated to educational excellence, thrives in a student-centered teaching program, and has strong interest in preparing a nursing workforce able to meet the many challenges of today's healthcare environment. Faculty members also serve the department through curriculum development, program evaluation, and policy development and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
2. Minimum of two years of full-time experience in nursing practice within the last five years
3. Hold a current unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
Preferred Qualifications
1. An earned doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline
2. Previous teaching experience at the college/university level is strongly preferred
3. Evidence of beginning program of research
4. Experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing curriculum, instructional technologies, program development and evaluation
5. Experience in and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
6. Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
