Criminal Justice, Full-time, Tenure-Track faculty

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

PhD in criminal justice or closely related field, or ABD with doctorate conferred by August 2026.

Experience and demonstrated ability to teach in areas of courts, criminal law, criminal justice ethics and gender and justice.

Evidence of successful teaching experience at the college/university level.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in and enthusiasm for teaching in multiracial, multiethnic environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Experience teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.

Experience in distance learning and instructional technologies.

Experience serving as role a model and mentor for a diverse student body.

Evidence of scholarly research in Criminological and/or Criminal Justice issues.
