MEDICAID FRAUD DIVISION
Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join her Medicaid Fraud Division as an Assistant Attorney General to handle complex criminal and civil enforcement actions related to allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings.

Primary Duties:
The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex civil and criminal matters. Key responsibilities include partnering with federal and state agencies, and civilian investigators, to investigate allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings. The Assistant Attorney General will draft administrative demands, civil investigative demands, and grand jury subpoenas. Duties also include drafting complaints for civil cases and applications for complaints in criminal district court cases and presenting evidence to grand juries.
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt.
Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions. On in-office days, employees are required to report to one of our designated office locations, either in Boston or at a regional office
Salary: $84,134-$125,572, commensurate with JD year.

Qualifications
Position Requirements :
• Must be a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
• Three to six years of civil litigation experience or criminal prosecution experience, including conducting grand jury investigations and superior court trials preferred.
• Background in complex civil litigation, health care fraud litigation, and False Claims Act litigation preferred.
• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Applicants must be Massachusetts Bar eligible at the time of application and must apply for admission before their start date. Candidates who are not yet admitted may be hired as 'Counsel' and must pass the Massachusetts Bar within one year of their start date.
