Overview
The assistant athletic trainer will provide prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by intercollegiate student athletes. This includes emergency/acute care, evaluation, referral, modalities application and educational counseling related to the student athlete's overall wellness. Employee is responsible for assisting in the pre-participation screening of intercollegiate student athletes. There is potential to serve as a clinical preceptor in the Universities ATEP Athletic Training program. This is a full-time, 10-month, benefitted position.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer
- Minimum of two years of collegiate athletic training experience or equivalent
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain Massachusetts Licensure as an Athletic Trainer
- Current Emergency Cardiac Care certification - BLS/Healthcare Provider
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-professional or advanced master's degree in athletic training or a related discipline
- Experience working in NCAA Division III collegiate athletics and relevant NCAA policy, procedures, and regulations
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with coaches, student-athletes, and health care providers
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities. This role has non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and travel with one high risk team.
