ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Intro: Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated person to join her team to assist in the processing of consumer intakes for the Consumer Advocacy and Response Division (CARD) and to serve as the Administrative Coordinator for the Central Massachusetts Regional Office in Worcester.

CARD receives and reviews complaints, advocates on behalf of Massachusetts consumers, and implements settlements entered into by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) in various areas relating to the Office's consumer protection efforts, including debt collection, mortgage lending and servicing, housing, automobile sales and lending, utilities, and professional services. The Division also provides referrals and other assistance to consumers, performs research, engages in community outreach, and participates in public education trainings.
To provide the highest-quality services and access for all the Commonwealth's residents, the Attorney General maintains an office in Worcester. Office staff includes attorneys, investigators, consumer specialists, paralegals, victim witness advocate, outreach coordinator, and administrative staff. The Central Massachusetts office works closely with local community organizations to provide outreach and education programs on important consumer and public safety issues.
Primary Duties: The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Consumer Advocacy and Response Division. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: (1) welcoming in-person visitors to the Central Massachusetts Regional Office; (2) assisting visitors with the filing of complaints and requests for assistance; (3) data entry and validation of consumer complaints into the AGO's record system; (4) processing of letters in response to consumer complaints; (5) assisting with the collection, review, and response to requests for records under the public records laws; and (6) other administrative duties as needed.
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt.
Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions. On in-office days, employees are required to report to one of our designated office locations, either in Boston or at a regional office.
Salary: $57,780

Qualifications
Position Requirements : We seek an individual committed to working in the public interest who is able to build rapport with people from different ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. A bachelor's degree or related education and/or experience is preferred. Computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel are required. Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus. The Administrative Coordinator should be able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and take a systematic, organized approach to the workflow. The Administrative Coordinator should have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, value punctuality and timeliness, and assume responsibility for and take pride in their work.
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or other languages is preferred.
