Administrative Assistant II, Human Resources Operations Assistant
Job Description
Overview
This is a non-unit position that is responsible for the operations of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity office including supervision of front desk staffing, coordination of HR Events, quality oversight of HR systems and employee off-boarding. This position coordinates evaluations for APA and Non-Unit Professional employees as well as HR systems including OnBase, EMS and the learning management system.

Qualifications
Minimum Entrance Requirements
1. Applicants must have at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration or business management, the major duties of which include one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or program management, or any equivalent combination of the required experience and education.
2. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Two to five years experience in Human Resources or a related field
2. Three to seven years experience working extensively with Microsoft Suite such as word, excel and teams
3. Experience with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts compensation and payroll system (HRCMS)
4. Experience working with PageUp or similar human capital management system (HCM)
5. Two to five years experience working for a state agency such as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
