Tax Supervisor

In this role you'll focus on the Company's domestic tax compliance and reporting obligations including preparation of Federal, quarterly estimated tax payments, audit defense, and other required federal tax filings. You'll collaborate both within and outside the tax department to ensure we understand our internal processes and how to apply tax law in the most effective and efficient manner. The successful candidate can demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal tax concepts, communication, and problem-solving skills along with the ability to contribute in a dynamic, inclusive team environment while maintaining accountability for individual performance objectives and goals.

What you'll do for us:

  • Assist in preparation of Federal income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, and amended returns as necessary for the Company.
  • Support tax counsel on various projects, such as Country by Country and tax contribution reporting.
  • Analyze tax accounts and prepare U.S. GAAP tax provisions for Headquarters' locations to ensure compliance with ASC 740.
  • Prepare documentation of the Company's tax return positions to support tax returns, audits, and FIN 48 documentation.
  • Research and analyze technical tax issues to determine the applicability and impact to the Company.
  • Leverage technology to continuously improve and automate processes where the need for improvement is identified.
  • Provide support to team members in the development of tax strategies and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or relevant related degree required.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 national firm or within a large multinational company.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Federal tax concepts and their application to large, multinational corporations
  • Experience preparing and filing consolidated Form 1120, quarterly estimated tax payments, and tax provisions for large corporations
  • Strong computer systems and technology skills, including experience with accounting and tax software (such as OneSource Income Tax or Provision software)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify critical tax risk and assist in developing and implementing tax strategies aligned with the Company's objectives.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and coordinate with other internal stakeholders to facilitate streamlining and automation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a solid team player and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across functional areas.
