Sr Director II, Head of Core Engineering

As the Sr. Director, Head of Core Engineering, you will lead the charge in driving innovation, setting standards, and establishing technical expertise for the global equipment platform. This role is pivotal in shaping Coca-Cola's next era of equipment excellence by leading a diverse team of engineers across mechanical, fluidics, and electrical disciplines. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to unlock engineering potential and create scalable solutions for consumer-driven innovations.

What You'll Do for Us

Breakdown of Responsibilities:

  • 40% Technical Innovation & Leadership: Drive innovation across equipment technologies and establish global design standards for platform engineering excellence.
  • 30% Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • 20% Market & Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with global markets and suppliers to identify opportunities and optimize engineering processes.
  • 10% Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Experience Design, Digital, and AI teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies into platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of innovative engineering solutions for Coca-Cola's global equipment platforms.
  • Establish and implement technical standards across mechanical, fluidics, and electrical disciplines.
  • Foster partnerships with global suppliers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead a collaborative engineering team to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.

People Leadership Responsibilities

This role oversees a team of 12 direct reports, including product managers, delivery leads, and embedded engineers across various engineering disciplines. Additionally, this role fosters collaboration with dotted-line reports from Design, Digital, Data & AI, and Equipment Services teams to ensure alignment and deliver on strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in engineering, technology management, or a relevant field, with 15+ years of experience in leading engineering teams and platform innovations at scale. Expertise in technical leadership and fostering cross-functional collaboration is essential. Additional qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in driving engineering excellence across large-scale product platforms.
  • Technical expertise in core engineering disciplines such as fluidics, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities in diverse and multi-cultural environments.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with experience driving alignment between technical teams and business objectives.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on delivering scalable and sustainable engineering solutions.
