The Senior Director, Field Quality plays a critical leadership role within the North America Operating Unit Supply Chain QSE organization. This role is responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of foundational quality programs across all company-owned and co-manufacturing operations. It ensures that facilities consistently meet internal and external regulatory requirements and maintain a state of audit readiness. By providing strategic direction and technical expertise to a team of Regional Technical Managers, this role enables operational excellence and ensures our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Technical Managers to build technical capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of foundational quality systems, including the CCNA Operational Quality Manual.
  • Monitor and analyze regional quality metrics, consumer complaint data, and operational trends to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality system failures and IMCR events.
  • Support commercialization and replication processes for new products and packages, ensuring consistent application of quality and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, technical innovation, and stewardship, to drive regional initiatives and troubleshoot issues.
  • Guide the development and delivery of quality training programs to build plant-level expertise and ensure consistent execution of standards.
  • Facilitate regional management reviews and provide strategic input to senior leadership on quality performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Champion the use of digital tools and data-driven approaches to enhance quality performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for site compliance assessments and escalation of critical quality issues.

What You'll Need

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • HACCP/ PCQI Certification required
  • 10+ years in quality, food safety within FMCG or pharmaceutical sectors, including 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership experience in leading large-scale transformation programs, change management.
  • Experience implementing quality assurance, quality control, and management system programs and activities (e.g,. HACCP, GFSI, ISO9000 / 22000, SPC, continuous improvement methodologies, etc.)
  • Experience in Crisis Management and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience with digital quality and compliance systems (e.g., EtQ, SAP, data analytics platforms) to support audit execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation capabilities
  • Experience with comprehensive root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Familiarity with and exposure to lean / six sigma tools and methodologies
  • Understanding the importance of technical governance in delivering a quality product
  • Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking, logic, patience, reasoning, empathy, continuous learning, and development

Travel Required: 50 - 75% Travel within North America
