Senior Director, Franchise Operations, SD/SX/SaX/West
This role is based in Jinan City, Shandong Province.
The Coca-Cola Company, a global beverage leader with a rich history of over 130 years and a portfolio of over 200 brands worldwide, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Franchise Operations, Senior Director. This role serves as the primary point of contact representing the total region portfolio and will steward the development of the brands with primary accountability for growing revenue, volume, share, and transactions. We are looking for candidates with bottling or general management experience who can build relationships and execute our strategies across our network while navigating market dynamics, integrating business strategies, and driving excellence in execution.
What You'll Do for Us
Provide overall leadership to the Franchise Area. Lead, coach, or delegate where appropriate in below areas:
Develop Annual Business Plan and achieve annual business targets
- Get aligned with local bottler on the strategies, annual business targets and annual budget.
- Secure the compliance and execution of the business plan via effectively using various information.
- Diagnose issues and drive action plans of local bottler to make sure business is running on track.
- Explore local opportunities
- Identify significant unexploited market opportunities and recommend plans on how to seize them
- Introduce best practices of examples to local bottler to enhance system's ability.
- Find and direct KO resource to support bottler to capture the opportunities for a faster growth
- Understand the local consumers and customers
- Be totally up-to-date with all relevant local consumers, customers and competitive trend
- Regularly feed up latest market information to the system and interpret all research data to derive implication
- Lead the process of local insight development
- In the Market for achieving operational improvements & best in class market execution, bridging between OU & Bottler Leadership Team to plan and execute programs endorsed by the Franchise GM
- Monitor bottler performance and identify bigger opportunities within the Franchise Areas
- Work in conjunction with other OU functions to align strategy and resources
- Engage and influence Bottler Head Office and Bottler GM for best-in-class local implementation based on superior consumer insights and an understanding of the industry landscape.
- Support the bottlers with winning consumer marketing, trade, channel, RGM and other programs that they can readily use to drive growth and increase value.
- Work with the bottlers to provide national, regional and local key customers with superior levels of customer service that create value for all parties.
Financial Custodian of the Franchise Area
- Within budget restraint, ensure that the Franchise Area structure and resources are sufficient to achieve the targets
- Ensure that the Franchise Area has an adequate system of financial control and that an appropriate system of internal controls is maintained.
Develop people and system capability and ensure a productive relationship with the bottlers at all levels
- Build a strong team capable of working with the bottlers effectively to realize business targets. Develop the capability of team members by effective coaching, on-job-training and working with HR to ensure sustainable succession planning in place for critical roles
- Assist and support the bottlers in building capability within their organizations.
- Ensure that at all levels relationships with the bottlers are constructive and collaborative, and that Company/bottler interaction is focused on the need to win in the market and to create value for the system as a whole.
- Operate as a senior member of the Region Franchises to represent in various business settings as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above with more than 10 years business experience, among which min. 8 years in a managerial role, preferably in an international company.
- Excellent written, oral skills in English & Mandarin
- Previous experience working directly with bottlers, distributors, or manufacturing partners in the Food & Beverage sector. Familiarity with annual business planning, distributor negotiations, and commercial strategy execution is essential.
- Demonstrated success in creating and executing business plans aligned with long-term objectives and informed by deep insights into revenue growth, market conditions, and customer segmentation trends.
- A track record of successfully monitoring performance metrics (revenue, volume, share, transactions) and adapting strategies to achieve positive outcomes. Candidates should be familiar with methodologies for reporting and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Expertise managing a portfolio across diverse distribution channels and customer types. Proven ability to apply market segmentation strategies and action plans that drive region-specific results and improve system efficiency.
- Strong capability to manage, negotiate, and resolve contracts, including National Supply Chain agreements and governance routines, with a focus on maximizing value while maintaining positive relationships. Provides evidence-based, creative solutions during negotiations to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with implementing RGM principles by optimizing price/package/channel strategies. Understands how to work with bottlers to identify revenue opportunities, improve market segmentation, and maximize profitability.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments where priorities shift and market conditions change rapidly. Candidates must have demonstrated experience adapting plans and strategies to navigate uncertainty while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
