R&D Planning & Process Engineer

Mexico City, Mexico

Performs routine engineering assignments; manages projects according to set deliverables; collects information, executes analyses and generates data. Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in Process and Manufacturing areas; ability to execute highly complex or specialized work; knowledge acquired from several years of experience or specialist training in particular area; may serve as a working team lead and/or supervise 1 or 2 lower level para-professionals.

  • Pilot Plant Production planning medium and short term according with projects demands as well as maintenance time availability
  • New equipment & technology validation process (documents, tests, etc) for Design, Installation, operation & Performance
  • Designs, develops, conducts and/or reviews experiments in order to deliver new processes - product solutions for product manufacture.
  • Writes detailed & accurate reports for analyses, experiments or projects. Gathers and organizes information under tight timelines to support senior management's decision-making.
  • Participates in team projects, interdepartmental/divisional committees or company-wide initiatives in order to share information, represent the department/division perspective or assist with product development, process modification.
  • Leverages prior education, suppliers and literature to innovate within scope of briefs provided by other technical experts or supervisor.
  • Applies food science knowledge & KO Requirements to assure safe and high-quality products.
  • Leads project meetings within cross-functionally technical groups. Manages, coaches, and trains other technicians or junior engineers on specific project/tasks

Experience

2-3 years successful experience in similar roles. Educational requirements / qualifications: Bachelor's degree in food science, industrial, chemical engineering or related field. Functional Competencies:

  • Proficient- Power BI
  • Competent - Researching
  • Competent - Quality Control, planning control

  • Fluent in English
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
