Production Planning Analyst II

CPS Korea - Production Planning Analyst is responsible for finite scheduling based on production efficiency and productivity in production. This role also involves detailed production performance analysis for continuous improvement in terms of both production efficiency and quality products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, in-depth knowledge of APS (Advanced Planning System), proficiency in data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

1. Finite Scheduling

  • Analyze and challenge production plans for dry and liquid parts developed by the master planning function.
  • Develop finite scheduling using APS, considering overall situations including labor resource, machinery constraints, raw material delivery schedules, holiday plans etc.
  • Monitor and track the production of dry and liquid parts, ensuring adherence to the planned schedule.
  • Calculate the required quantities of raw materials and packaging materials according to the production schedule, ensuring they are delivered to the site on time.
  • Serve as the primary link between the Planning and Production teams.
  • Lead the production management of over-forecast cases, including changes in production plans and priority products.
  • Participate actively in product-related changes, including work center modifications and process changes, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • In the process of introducing new products(Included RFM), lead the review and input regarding production-related aspects (production speed, proper workcenter, considerations during production processes).
  • Ensure the accurate and timely implementation of new products in the production process.
  • Manage to ensure there are no discrepancies between the system and actual operations through continuous monitoring of parameters related to production speed and processes.
  • Manage and schedule production reworks, ensuring the availability of required materials at the plant.
  • Coordinate the reworking process and ensure it follows the agreed timeline with the planning department
  • Take ownership of the PTS (Performance to Schedule) metric, ensuring targets are met and continuously improved.
  • Participate on Special Assignments such as: Global benchmark initiatives, productivity initiatives or process improvement projects.

2. Production performance analysis

  • Analyze and identify trends in process effectiveness (OEE) and line capacity.
  • Analyze and identify trends in SPC
  • Analyze MUV and identify the root cause when anomalies occur.
  • Perform weekly and monthly analysis of OEE and MUV performance, participate in related meetings, and report on relevant matters.
  • Prepare and report on production-related KPIs (OEE, MUV, PTS), and develop improvement plans if targets are not achieved.
  • Lead corrective actions with relevant personnel/department when production performance behind targets or is expected to behind targets.
  • Attend daily COMM meetings and cover relevant agendas.

3. Operational Improvement

  • Improve manufacturing processes continuously by OE tool.
  • Participate PoF for productivity and production efficiency improvement.

4. Self -Development

  • Develop and actively pursue plans for career development
  • Set annual individual goals and conduct periodic reviews and performance management

5. Others

  • Support the establishment of production-related KPI targets during the annual business planning process
  • Resolve issues related to production systems such as SAP, MII, SPC OEE apps by collaborating with the relevant global teams
  • Participate in changes and updates to production-related systems such as SAP, MII, and SPC OEE apps
  • Support for internal and external audits
  • Participate in global or internal projects as needed
