Our Syrup and Freestyle Manufacturing is a key part of the NAOU (North America Operating Unit) Customer Experience (CX) Function of The Coca-Cola Company. Our Syrup and Freestyle Manufacturing facilities produce Syrup and Freestyle for Food Service and Food Service on Premise (FSOP) partners across NAOU.

As the Manufacturing Plant General Manager, you will spearhead the operations at our Dallas location; one of the seven manufacturing facilities within our expansive US network.

This pivotal role involves steering the strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of Plant Management-including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, Environmental (QSE), Finance, Human Resources (HR), and Operational Excellence. As the linchpin of our plant operations, you'll ensure the seamless continuity of supply, spearhead the execution of our annual business plan, and drive key program implementations. Your leadership will cultivate an atmosphere of operational excellence and collaborative teamwork, all within a customer-centric framework.

Position Related Activities and Key Role Responsibilities

  • Play a key role as a leader of the Local Leadership Team implementing the long-term strategy, vision and mission.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Plant, in all areas of Plant Management, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, QSE, Finance, HR and Operational Excellence. A key part of this will be to increase flexibility (in line with the changing portfolio of TCCC) and productivity for now and for the future.
  • Act as the site leader with local legal entity responsibility, including local regulatory, authority relationship and management.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the Plant achieves its annual business plan, implementation of key programs, compliance with all TCCC Standards and local regulations. This will require extensive use of standardized procedures, processes, technologies and equipment and will require close collaboration with other members of the Local Leadership Teams implementing agreed strategies in the Plant.
  • Ensure that the Plant is working collaboratively with key stakeholders (including Operating Units, Local Technical Functions and Bottlers) with a very customer focused mind-set to satisfy our customers with continuous supply at the optimum cost, with the highest levels of quality and service.
  • As a member of the General Manager community, ensure alignment and standardization across all sites on a number of strategic matters.
  • Lead and manage a team of direct reports while also providing inspirational leadership to a large number of indirect reports to maintain and further enhance employee engagement. Will ensure that the right level of capability is developed and maintained within the Plant for now and for the future. Will also identify, develop and grow the next generation of Local leaders through active performance management, coaching, feedback and the People Development Forum (PDF) process.

Customer Experience Responsibilities

  • Act as a steward of the Customer Relationships, ensuring all related communication avenues and routines are in place.
  • Ensure understanding and support of Regions or OU's goals and business objectives.
  • Ensure strategies are jointly developed to fulfil current and future business needs and facilitate the implementation of related activities to meet CX and OU's goals.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain to lead or participate in S&OP meetings with OU.
  • Facilitate Senior Review meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Follow-up on specific or special requests from the bottlers or OU's on any aspect.
  • Interact with distributors / bottlers in order to ensure their business needs are fulfilled in terms of supply, cost, quality and service, as well as in any other strategic requirement for the Company.
  • Ensure key timely information is provided to the Region and OU's to support their decision-making process.

Required Functional and Technical Skills

  • Track record of executing business results including people and change management in a supply chain environment.
  • Previous experience in multiple functions (including operations).
  • Business acumen and P&L management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategy development.
  • Executing in a complex portfolio / matrixed business.

Preferred Competencies

  • Operating Unit and/or Bottler experience within The Coca-Cola Company or equivalent organization.
  • Technical qualifications in Engineering, Supply Chain or Quality.

Education and Additional Qualifications

  • University Degree Required.
  • Minimum 3 years' Plant Manager experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' related experience.
  • Direct Technical and Operational Leadership roles in Manufacturing Operations in a Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or similar applicable industry experience.
