You are applying for the position of Safety Manager.

What we expect of you:

  • Design and develop Safety Goals to achieve BP targets for QSE.
  • Lead the development and execution of the strategy to enable effective implementation of the safety objectives. Review and analyze the effectiveness of the Safety system through tracking of the key performance indicators and develop plans for improvement.
  • Drive a QSE work-stream team to deliver the projects and initiatives, allocating the right resources in the right work scopes.
  • Implements new test procedure, test equipment's by proper investigations and validating alternate proposals and recommendations.
  • Lead to develop protocol for validation new methods, technology, and process in manufacturing.
  • Continuously monitor requirements with local regulations related to Safety and ensure that plant follows all the requirements, in terms of licensing, the ingredients/materials in use and all the manufacturing processes.
  • Strategically review to retain and improve Safety function knowledge/skills.
  • Review and monitor new laws and regulations, conduct gap analysis to comply with any new requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in Safety Leading position;
  • Should have solid knowledge of chemistry, food science and their application to the beverage industry, advanced analytical instruments, statistical process control, method validations, measurement of uncertainty and data interpretation etc.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Safety, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid technical knowledge and skills in Safety.
  • People management experience;
  • Degree in a scientific discipline is required (Chemical, Engineering, Administration or Pharmaceutical).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Science (Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Safety Engineering) is preferred. May be substituted with relevant work experience.
  • Business acumen is required to drive continuous improvement in the system.
  • Languages: Portuguese and English at a conversational level is mandatory; Spanish is desirable.
