Manager, Communications- Philippines
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications that support the Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability (PACS) agenda in the Philippines. This role will manage internal and external communications initiatives that enhance the company's corporate reputation, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and drive awareness of sustainability programs.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in navigating complex, matrix organizations and adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams from across the business and the broader system. This includes working seamlessly with global, regional, and local colleagues to ensure communications are aligned, cohesive, and impactful. The position requires a seasoned communications professional who can craft compelling narratives, manage media relations, handle issues communications, and support advocacy priorities in alignment with business goals.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Strategic Communication Plans
Create integrated communications strategies that support the PACS priorities and reflect local market needs - Media and Public Relations Management
Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers; oversee press releases, interviews, events, and earned media campaigns. - Internal Communications Leadership
Drive internal engagement by managing corporate newsletters, leadership messages, town halls, and employee campaigns. - Issues and Crisis Communication
Monitor public policy and media developments; prepare proactive and reactive messaging and provide counsel during crises. - Sustainability communication
Develop communications that highlight the company's sustainability programs and community impact stories. - Work with Brand Management
Collaborate closely with brand management and marketing teams to ensure consistency between corporate and brand narratives, align messaging for campaigns, and leverage brand equity in reputation-building efforts. - Content Creation and Brand Storytelling
Write and edit speeches, presentations, articles, and digital content; oversee creative production with agency partners.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Master's degree in a related discipline is advantageous but not required.
Related Work Experience:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, or sustainability communications.
- Proven success in navigating matrix organizations and influencing across multiple stakeholders and geographies.
- Experience in issues management and advocacy communications.
- Familiarity with the Philippine media landscape

- Excellent Writing and Communications Skills - Exceptional ability to write, edit, and present clearly and persuasively in both English and Filipino across multiple channels and audiences.
