Position Overview
The Data Engineer Intern will be a dynamic contributor to the supply chain team's digitization initiatives. They will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to drive innovation and efficiency in supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Data Engineer Intern, you will:
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to identify key business challenges and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to visualize critical supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory levels, on-time delivery, demand forecasts, etc.).
- Design and build customized applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance supply chain operations.
- Integrate and consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and insights that drive actionable business outcomes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and implement robust solutions.
- Document the design, development, and deployment of dashboards, apps, and data pipelines to ensure future scalability.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Power Platform solutions to ensure high performance and usability.
Key Outcomes for the Internship
- Successfully deploy supply chain-focused dashboards or apps using the Microsoft Power Platform that address real business needs.
- Deliver insights and tools that improve transparency and empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions across the supply chain.
- Develop a scalable framework for ongoing supply chain data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a 'problem first, not data first' approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share insights and recommendations.
