Role: R-122940 Consultant, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs (SRA)

Primary Job Location: Candidates must be currently located in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel and requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office at either base location (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

Support and maintain North America OU - SRA (Scientific and Regulatory Affairs) related compliance processes related to recipe, ingredient, label, claims & communication working cross-functionally, as required (e.g., with Global SRA, PACS, Legal, Formula Governance, R&D, Quality).

Support SRA Managers and Directors in enabling innovation, claims, and compliance in compliance with local regulations and TCCC policies. Help implement, update, and maintain SRA tools, systems, and processes to drive greater impact and efficiencies.

What You Can Do For Us:

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead NAOU SRA workstreams related to ingredient, product, label, claims, and communications innovation & compliance, working cross-functionally with Technical, Brand, and other partners.
  • Review and approve formulas, labels, artwork, packaging materials, and website content for regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide regulatory advice to mitigate compliance risk.
  • Lead all regulatory workstreams for our NAOU Freestyle business.
  • Execute competitive assessments of the NAOU claims landscape and disseminate key learnings to identify whitespace opportunities & influence innovation strategy

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Nutrition, or related science background. Graduate degree preferred.

Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 -3 years of relevant experience within the Food/Beverage industry, or a related field.
