We are hiring for a full-time permanent Consultant, Accountant. This role will report to Senior Manager, Korea Legal Entity Controller and will perform a variety of accounting activities to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations; reconciles accounts; maintains a complete and accurate general ledger; collects and compiles financial information; prepares financial reports and accounting statements; provides accounting advice within area of expertise. This is an individual contributor that works under limited supervision; applies subject matter knowledge; requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

What You'll Do for Us:

  • Ensures Financial Performance, Reporting, Analysis & Decision Support including but not limited to preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing appropriately on time, report OPEX/BS review, dividend forecast, Cash flow, and YRE reporting (YRE form), collaborating with the process team, including Genpact, to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Manages the sales transactions and will be responsible for weekly/monthly sales billing, preparing JV for quarter/ year-end settlement of the sales.
  • Supports the local statutory tax requirements from VAT filing and return by quarter, supports the annual corporate income tax filing and return, working closely with an external audit firm, such as corporate car expense and intercompany transaction filing, etc.
  • Supports external and internal audit- Support the team to maintain strong internal controls for all operations and continually evolve processes to enable optimized audits to be conducted.
  • Supports the team to ensure compliance with Company policies and standards- Prepare the supporting documents of the external/internal audit and notes in the audit report.
  • Supports the treasury function- Custodian for Intercompany Transaction from Cash Flow Reporting/Management incl. annual capital investment plan.
  • Operational Control and Compliance - Delegation of Authority (DOA/LCOA) coordination.
  • Sustainability reporting - helps in verifying the accuracy and completeness of sustainability reporting data submitted by bottlers. Ensures data integrity through thorough review and validation processes in alignment with reporting standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree qualified. Ideally in the area of Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-9 years of professional experience in similar positions or similar function and experience in Financial Accounting, VAT filing, Billing and/or Intercompany, and familiar with ERP systems and productivity/ reporting software.
  • Prior knowledge of SAP and proven background of financial reporting.
  • Must have a firm understanding of absorption accounting and standard costing.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) and working knowledge of internal control principles.
  • Knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation is ideal.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
