The E-7A Program has multiple job openings for Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support initial Program start up, including Drawing Review/Release, drive long lead parts procurement, establish tooling and build plans to support program activities in the 14-01 building (Thompson site) in Tukwila, Washington. This job role will require 5 days per week of on-site support to engage with our design engineers, supplier management, and production operations teams. We need experienced Manufacturing Engineers who are looking for a challenging growth opportunity to help define the build and modifications needed to support our USAF customer.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.
  • Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
  • Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Resolves complex technical problems.
  • Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
  • Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.
  • Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
  • Documents and communicates producibility best practices.
  • Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requiresthe ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing engineering processes and tools
  • 1+ years of MESci experience
  • 1+ years of experience with wire bundle fabrication planning

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • Boeing BDS and/or AEWC experience
  • Previous Boeing - BDS or BCA Manufacturing Engineering Experience
  • BDS - MESci and GOLD systems experience highly desired.
  • INSync systems experience highly desired.
  • WIRS experience highly desired

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

L4 Summary pay range: $117,300 - $158,700
