We are seeking talented Systems Engineers with backgrounds in Operational Definition, Requirements Management, System Design and Integration, Test and Verification to become part of the Boeing Defence Australia Team. There are multiple Systems Engineering roles available across our Brisbane, Adelaide and Newcastle sites.

Responsibilities

In these roles you will have the opportunity to be part of a team developing and delivering world class capabilities and systems across programs such as the Ghost Bat Air Power Teaming System (ATS) development and acquisition program, Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), Currawong Integrated Battlefield Telecommunications Network and Wakulda Air Battlespace Management System involving development of modifications and upgrades and sustainment activities.

Experience/Qualifications

What we're looking for:
  • An ability to apply systems engineering practices with experience across the lifecycle of complex engineering systems through concept development, design, integration, test, sustainment and disposal.
  • Understanding or experience in the following:
    • Conducting user needs analysis including developing operational definition documents;
    • Developing and managing function and performance specifications;
    • Undertaking system modelling and developing system architectures using digital engineering tools;
    • Integrating components, sub-systems and systems;
    • Conducting test and evaluation activities including establishing test strategies, developing test plans, procedures and reports;
    • Supporting program milestone reviews.
  • Minimum 5+ year's technical experience working in a project engineering environment.
  • A desire to work as part of a diverse, collaborative and innovative team.
  • Prior experience across the Defence Capability Lifecyle in one or more of the following areas is desirable: capability strategy and concepts, risk mitigation activities, acquisition and sustainment of Air, Land, Maritime and Space systems, communication & networks, C4ISR, or training/simulation systems.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
