For decades, Boeing has had deep defense, commercial and governmental relationships across Europe and uses the large offering of excellent aerospace capabilities for commercial and defense applications. In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the loss of our Design Center in Moscow, Boeing f.e. created a significant Engineering Center in Poland. As the nations of Europe also respond to the invasion of Ukraine, many have chosen to buy Boeing platforms. For example, Poland committed to buy a large number of Apaches, while Germany bought P-8s and Chinooks - their first defense purchases from Boeing in decades -- with more opportunities on the horizon as not only Germany increases its defense spending in the region.
