Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for a Software Quality Engineering Manager to support the software engineering function at Boeing's India engineering site. In this position the individual is required to lead a team of software quality engineers and align with enterprise processes, policies and guidance on supporting and developing world class products. This position will be located at Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of high performing individual Software Quality Engineers to support Software development that is regulated by FAA standards including DO-178 , DO178-C , and ensuring the records produced during the software life-cycle are adequate and controlled such that they will successfully support formal flight Certification.
  • With the team evaluate software requirements against quality attributes and verifying the management/tracing of those requirements through product realization
  • Verifying the integrity of software test environments including the documentation of the test configuration, control over changes to the environment, and the control over records.
  • Have knowledge of the Software Configuration Management process including software identification, baseline management, change control, and status accounting
  • Lead team that can work on certification for Avionics Software in different Avionics product lines (e.g. FMS, FCS, ECS etc..).
  • Supporting Software development using the Agile framework
  • Lead the team to verify code and related software documentation comply to standards
  • Ensure the Projects adhere to AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Manage people aspect of leading a team and drive organizational culture to build safe products in an efficient manner
  • Motivate individuals in the team to perform their best and complement each other in responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Sound knowledge of FAA standards including DO-178 , DO178-C
  • Knowledge on AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Knowledge on Technical Standard Order (TSO) authorization and Type Certificate (TC) authorization Processes.
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  • People management experience either as a direct manager or as a team lead

Typical Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent discipline with 12 to 18 years of experience in aerospace domain.
