Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Transportation Analyst - Rail Mode Specialist (Level 4) in one of the following locations: Everett Washington; Seattle Washington; Renton Washington.

This is a subject matter expert role focusing on transportation network analysis, tracking and tracing shipments, and developing project strategies to improve supply chain health. This position requires some travel to East and West Coast Ports for operational support and sustaining carrier relationship.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads and guides others on Rail Freight statement of work and independently represents transportation and logistics to internal/external organizations
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the introduction of new processes, tools and techniques for Transportation Analysts
  • Responsible for documenting, implementing and maintaining team improvements for air freight mode and network supply chain risks
  • Investigates and performs root cause analysis on complex compliance and logistics initiatives specifically related to global supply chain impacts and recommends best practice solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes and procedures
  • Executes complex freight transactions, analysis and assessments that ensure compliance with Federal and Regulatory Agency guidelines and business program needs
  • Coordinates and leads a variety of internal transportation process reviews, impact assessment activities and support services related to global transportation
  • Develops, recommends and leads changes to new or existing processes including cost-effective methods for transporting goods without sacrificing efficiency and timeliness
  • Partnering with transportation carriers to maintain daily operational health and monitor carrier performance with the ultimate goal of ensuring a stable inbound supply chain to support Boeing production
  • Collect, analyze, and make recommendations for intermodal supply chain network changes
  • Foster and build relationships with key Railways and Operators
  • Maintains rail car fleet inventory tracking and maintenance schedules. Partners with internal business units for rail network health management.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience in Transportation and Logistics operations
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • 5+ years' experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management
  • Ability to travel domestically on a potential quarterly basis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain or related field
  • 5 + years' of experience with freight forwarding and intermodal transportation modes
  • 5+ years' of experience in supply chain management and/or Freight Forwarding experience desired specifically Railroad transportation fields

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically, 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $93,500 - $128,700
