Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist (level 4) to join our Field Supplier Quality in Orange County and Los Angeles, California to support the Southern California region.

The BCA Supplier Quality organization is responsible for oversight of the suppliers' QMS, evaluating product quality improvement plans and driving cross functional joint efforts in the right direction. Our role responsibility is based on FAA FAR's, down through the Boeing Production Certificate, our QMS and our contracts with our suppliers, to ensure that all of our products meet our type designs and gets there with proper compliance.

A successful applicant will be required to be located within Orange County/Los Angeles metroplex area. Our team members can enjoy and meet the challenges of working remotely, with requirements to travel up to 75% of the time. Our team members recognize and appreciate the autonomy, trust and judgment granted to them, to ensure the oversight of our suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads, plans, organizes audits and assessments of complex supplier systems, processes and products
  • Holds suppliers accountable for providing Immediate containment as well as practical and tangible RCCA
  • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers
  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
  • Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
  • Exhibits an extremely high level of Emotional Intelligence
  • Protects the Boeing brand in word and deed

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
  • 5+ years' experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years' experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years' experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems.
  • Capable of travel up to 75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience with AS9100
  • Experience with mixed commodities - fasteners, nuts and bolts, machined components.
  • Experience with mixed technologies - machining, fabrication, composite, and electronics assembly.
  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools.
  • Working knowledge of Aerospace Standards i.e. AS9102, AS9138, AS9145, AS9162, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $109,650 - $148,350
