The Boeing Global Services sales organization is seeking a highly motivated Marketing & Sales Representative who will be responsible for Portfolio of Product and Services. Must have a strong technical background to join a team of professionals deploying BGS Products & Services to commercial airline customers. This is a customer-facing role, focused on positioning high value component programs that are managed by Boeing and designed to provide the best value to our customers. In this role, you will work closely with Account Sales Directors, customer and other sales & marketing team members to document customer's need, collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define the right solution, provide value analysis and technical support throughout the sales process.

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and assembles documentation of data to support management reviews. Participates in reviews with direction.
  • Assists lead negotiator throughout the business negotiation process to help secure customer and vendor commitments. Obtains commitment and approval from internal stakeholders to support changes during the negotiation process.
  • Utilizes detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to recommend areas of alignment and integration.
  • Leads assigned sales and campaign activities by contributing to the development of strategies and tactics with minimal guidance. Maintains and reports metrics related to campaign status.
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth by developing a detailed understanding of specific Boeing products and services, process and operations, and resources.
  • Supports the integration of knowledge into business strategies and solutions.
  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors' products and services to develop a detailed understanding of specific competitor activities and their impact on market positioning to improve our competitive position.
  • Captures and documents specific campaign information related to customer business needs, culture, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites and publications. Networks with both internal and external resources, when applicable.
  • Assists in the interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns. Participates in customer meetings with limited scope and responsibility.
  • Assists in the development of customer solutions by performing analysis of customer needs and available resources. Evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations to the internal team leader and management. Formulates requirements for both Boeing and Industry products and knowledge into recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Assists in the preparation of management review materials. Assists in the maintenance and advancement of customer relationships by supporting customer meetings and preparation of presentation materials. Analyzes business alternatives to recognize customer needs in relation to the strategic direction of internal Boeing programs.
  • Supports preparation of proposals by developing themes and discriminators and reviewing the statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary and pricing to ensure customer requirements are met and to improve our competitive position. Monitors proposal status to ensure timely responses. Reviews and contributes to the final draft materials.
  • Assists in the development of strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Boeing products and services and competitive environment. Gathers and analyzes relevant information (e.g., political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in customer facing sales and marketing role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with providing high-level sales and marketing presentations to airline executives as well as detailed technical presentations to managers
  • Experience working with multiple concurrent sales campaigns

Typical Education/ Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
