Position Responsibilities:
  • To act as QA MRB (Material Review Board) Delegates
  • Perform final inspections of precision machined components using various different inspection methods (including CMM, Micrometers, Gauges etc.).
  • Provide feedback on the inspection process to Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers.
  • Review work instructions for completeness.
  • Perform in-process inspections to support the manufacturing process (e.g., hole check or on machine runout check) as required.
  • Participate in problem solving events when requested
  • Reject defective parts, as required.
  • Note discrepant condition(s) of products in line with the company reporting standard.
  • Process quality records per appropriate procedures to maintain accountability, acceptance, and status.
  • Maintain personal and equipment certifications, as required.
  • Work safely and within the confinements of the site Health and Safety management system.
  • Assist other employees with functions, methods and procedures by passing on information and answering questions.
  • Contact team leader/supervisor when assistance is needed.
  • Consult with management and/or others (e.g., production or engineering) on process or job related issues as required.
  • Work with others as part of a team including giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks and providing on-the-job-training to others.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, highly regulated environment; time management skills are crucial
  • Must be conscientious in what you do, paying close attention to detail at every step of the process
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must have experience as a Quality Inspector or in the use of associated inspection equipment and processes
  • A solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Apprentice trained or equivalent experience in a precision machined engineering environment

Typical Education/Experience:

BTEC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering

Shift:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Initially day shift for 1 week for training purposes, but the role is a morning / afternoon bi-weekly rotating shift pattern for the routine work schedule.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
