Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for Senior Programmer Analyst to Performance and scalability teams working in areas of Validation and Test. This is a techno-lead position that is expected to provide Technical Leadership, Project Leadership, and handle Vendor management in the team. This position will also help in acquiring talent and build the team further, motivate, develop, and manage employees and provide technical guidance to achieve excellent technical and business outcomes, i.e., provide technical leadership and project management guidance to the team, and lead the implementation of technical approaches, processes, and procedures to deliver sophisticated technical capability that will be matured and transitioned to Boeing collaborators.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the vision for the performance testing product, aligning it with the overall objectives and strategies of the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between stakeholders such as business leaders, development teams, quality assurance teams, and end-users to gather requirements, prioritize features, and manage expectations.
  • Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Work closely with stakeholders to understand performance testing needs, gather requirements, prioritize features, and create a product backlog.
  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the timeline for delivering key features and improvements, taking into an account business priorities and resource availability
  • Designing Testing Strategies: Develop and implement test strategies for non-functional aspects such as performance, scalability, reliability, security, and usability testing. Develop comprehensive testing strategies for evaluating the performance and scalability of software systems, considering various usage scenarios and load conditions
  • Capacity Planning: Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and efficient execution of non-functional testing activities across multiple projects
  • Test Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of non-functional tests, including defining test objectives, designing test scenarios, and coordinating test activities with project teams
  • Architecting Test Infrastructure: Design and implement test environments and infrastructure capable of simulating real-world usage patterns and handling high loads to accurately measure performance metrics
  • Tool Selection and Implementation: Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate tools and technologies for non-functional testing, such as performance testing tools, security scanners, and usability testing frameworks
  • Scalability Assessment: Assess the scalability of applications by identifying bottlenecks and limitations in system architecture, database performance, network configuration, and hardware resources
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with non-functional aspects of the system and develop mitigation strategies to address them
  • Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct benchmarking studies to compare system performance against industry standards and competitors. Analyze test results to identify performance trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
  • Optimization Recommendations: Collaborate with development teams to recommend performance optimizations and architectural enhancements based on testing findings and best practices
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document testing procedures, results, and recommendations in detailed reports for stakeholders, including management, development teams etc.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies related to performance testing and scalability assessment. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Team Leadership and Training: Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and quality standards

    • Java Heap monitoring/analysis

  • Understanding of Web, Mobile, API and database testing technologies
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, performance testing techniques, and tools
  • Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
  • Experience with test automation and test management tools
  • Ongoing knowledge of Performance and scalability testing industry best practices and trends
  • Ability to Quickly analyze business pain points and address them
  • Multiple stakeholder management
  • Ability to work with vendors to identify various risks and address them
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones

  • Must have experience leading teams and can mentor and teach juniors and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives.

  • Related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) Preferred, but not required.
