Evaluates business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives.

Works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities. Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

Work with management to scope, plan and establish business process direction and strategies. Facilitates the development of business case and risk analysis of process investment, returns, affordability and resource requirements.

•Supporting product teams:
  • Conduct market and product research to identify and implement new opportunities & strategies
  • Formulate requirements that meet customer needs for both Boeing internal and external customers.
  • Partner with the CX strategy and design team leads to contribute to a research roadmap/strategy and project brief that accurately estimates the scope and level of effort required for projects; integrates it within the design planning, estimation, and prioritization process.
  • Lead the creation of customer journeys, insight frameworks, and user personas which synthesize data and findings, helping the team arrive at a shared understanding of the customer needs.
  • Develops plans and deliverables, directs all product phases and acts as primary contact to stakeholders. Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating product elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.
  • Facilitates effective structured process and product team meetings with appropriate use of process methods and tools.
  • Assist project/product managers by collecting task status and creating visibility materials of project, as required to facilitate status reporting for management and executives.
  • Assist project/product teams in dealing with issues to help mitigate impacts of technical debt, resource, finance and access challenges as they arise. Back team members of product management duties where needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of product research and customer experience projects

3+ years Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment-

3+ years Experience in data analytics-

3+ years Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years Experience in software product development

3+ years Experience in project management

Typical Education/ Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
