The Boeing Global Services - Government organization has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Agent (Level 3) to join the Supplier Management team located in Mesa, AZ. The successful candidate will support procurement activities for aftermarket repair services in support of defense platforms in a fast-paced environment while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the Supply Chain organization. This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

This will be a virtual position with the expectation of living in the local area.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages priorities for a high volume of stand-alone repair orders.
  • Works with internal and external customers to formalize procurement requirements.
  • Prepares and executes contractual documents and binding agreements in accordance with Government regulatory requirements and Boeing procedures.
  • Formulates strategy and leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Manages supplier performance, interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditions.
  • Communicates across functions, programs, and suppliers to effectively manage risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies
  • Solicits, reviews, analyzes, negotiates, issues and manages FAR 12 and FAR 15 type, non-competitive Strategic Contract procurements.
  • Possesses complete understanding, ability, and knowledge to act independently when working routine problems or situations. Possesses complete knowledge of government, company and local policies, procedures and regulations.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. S 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • 6 or more years' related work experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing practices and processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 6+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer is highly desired.
  • Experience in proposing, negotiating, and executing contracts and/or subcontracts in support of US Government requirements is highly desired.
  • Experience in negotiating complex supplier contracts and managing supplier performance is desired.
  • Experience working within the NetWorks Procurement (NWP) purchasing system is desired.

Typical Education & Experience:
  • Typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

This is a hybrid position that allows for some telecommuting. The selected candidatewill be required to perform some work onsite at Mesa, AZ. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate Mesa area or relocate at their own expense for the opportunity.
