This position is part of the EO/IR Mission Systems team within BR&T. The focus of this team is to design cutting edge sensor systems, and the key technologies that enable those systems, to support both Boeing and its external customers. Systems range from airborne EO/IR systems to space payloads. The team is focused on providing complete solutions, including systems engineering, optics design, mechanical design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, electronics, and advanced system modeling and simulations. As part of BR&T, the primary focus is on prototype systems and demonstrations, so we're looking for people who like to try new things, and aren't afraid of a challenge!

A Payload Products & Technologies Hardware Production Specialist (Level 4) is sought to support a multi-disciplinary program team to develop plans & procedures to ensure the successful hardware processing / integration to meet mission objectives. The Hardware Production Leader will manage and oversee all facets of the production hardware flow and ensure adequate requirements are properly flowed to meet program / quality needs. This engagement will consist of but not limited to skills and knowledge & coordination with the following systems - MRP, SAP/Ariba, AD/AB reporting MESCI (Work-Order release/development), PR/PO/EPART, Supply Chain system requirements & Configuration Management processing as well as close coordination with Engineering, Program leadership. The Hardware Production Leader will be responsible for building up and taking ownership of the suitable production environments that are used to meet performance & sell off requirements. The Hardware Production Leader will create and manage plans that ensure the production hardware is delivered on-time. The Hardware Production Leader will regularly generate reports of status / performance to program leadership.

Reporting directly to the Payload Products & Technologieswithin the Boeing Mission Systems & Autonomy organization, the Hardware Production Leader is a member of the production leadership team and will also be responsible for leading and mentoring team members, promoting a positive work culture, supporting regular leadership meeting. The Hardware Production Leader is expected to have excellent communication skills and will interact with all levels of the organization/program team. This position will be based out of Huntington Beach, California.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with hardware processing
  • Experience with SAP MRP (Material requirements planning)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with MRP, SAP/Ariba, AD/AB reporting MESCI (Work-Order release/development), PR/PO/EPART, Supply Chain system requirements & Configuration Management

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
