The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Test & Evaluation Technical Services Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

Metrology & Test Equipment Services (MATES) provides a full spectrum of test asset and metrology services and support for internal customers and products through all phases of the product lifecycle. Services include: calibration/certification for nearly 600,000 dimensional/optics, electrical/electronic and mechanical/physical measurement and test assets, sourcing management, measurement solutions, repair and maintenance, test asset selection and use, acquisition, allocation, resource and lifecycle management, and specialized test services.

MATES is comprised of engineers, technicians, developers, analysts, and project managers, who support programs, sites, business units and external/government customers by providing best value test asset management and metrology services through all phases of the product lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Initiates and coordinates "request for service" from internal and external calibration and repair suppliers utilizing the Common Metrology Information System (CMIS)
  • Initiates and coordinates requests in support of tests including the movement of equipment and arranging for transportation with internal and external organizations
  • Initiates requests for M&TE (Measurement and test equipment), accessories and services in the Boeing procurement system and coordinates delivery schedules with business partners, internal MATES organizations and external service providers
  • Review and approves list of services received by suppliers and coordinates payment by Boeing procurement organization

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience with measurement and test equipment (M&TE)
  • 1+ years of experience with shipping and receiving
  • 1+ years of experience with reviewing and approving invoices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with procurement and distribution processes & systems
  • Experience with calibration and repair suppliers
  • Experience working with diverse team (local and virtual)
  • Strong organization, communication and problem solving skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 59,500 - 80,500
