Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Supply Chain Direct Attack / Cruise Missile Systems Contracting Team in St. Charles, Missouri is seeking a Mid-Level Procurement Agent to act as an authorized agent of the company with the responsibility to commit company resources through contracts and agreements for the procurement of goods and services.

The Procurement Agent will execute and manage contracts for a variety of products that range in value and complexity. Responsibilities include participating in negotiations of supplier cost & pricing data, contract terms and conditions and preparing contractual documents and binding agreements. This also includes managing supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support to programs. In addition, the team will be responsible for driving Partnering for Success activities and for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.

Overall this position requires an individual who can manage multiple subcontracts expeditiously, while ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Additional responsibilities could include issuance and administration of Teaming Agreements, Proprietary Information Agreements, New Business and Proposal Support.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Leads evaluation, negotiation and creation of complex procurement contracts, products, and services.
  • Develops and implements contract/subcontract management plans for new business acquisition.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of complex scope and complexity.
  • Refers to policies, procedures, and practices for guidance.
  • Provides direction to suppliers to improve performance and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Manages supplier performance and relationships.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks and issues with suppliers by determining root cause and developing corrective action.
  • Utilizes data for source selection of suppliers based on ratings.
  • Documents portfolios by using clear and concise reasoning with effective writing.
  • Works under minimal supervision and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in St. Charles, Missouri.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required."US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • More than3 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • More than 3 years of experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts.
  • Experience leading supplier contract negotiations.
  • More than 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts and sub-contracts.
  • More than 3 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
  • Experience in administrating Cost Reimbursable purchase contracts.
  • Experience working on a Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposal.
  • Experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurements that exceed the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.

Summary pay range: $74,800 - $102,96
