Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Support Program Managers: Collaborate with program managers to execute project plans efficiently, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and monitoring progress against milestones.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate seamless communication among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables to uphold project success.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze project data to derive insights, aiding in informed decision-making and contributing to project performance enhancement.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous project documentation, encompassing project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports, adhering to stringent quality standards and accessibility for stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, ensuring adherence to project management standards and best practices, thus fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust contingency plans and minimize potential impacts.

  • Experience Requirements:

    Ideal candidates for this internship should demonstrate:
  • Academic Pursuit: Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in business administration, project management, engineering, or related fields.
  • Security Clearance: must be able to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance
  • Project Management Knowledge: Basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and frameworks such as those delineated in the Project Management Professional (PMP) standard.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, vital for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders and dissemination of complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Ability to perform data analysis and problem-solving tasks, enabling critical interpretation of information to support decision-making processes and drive project success.
  • Organizational Aptitude: Excellent organizational and time management skills, essential for prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Proven track record of working collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating support for colleagues and a commitment to achieving collective goals.

    • Presentation: Provide a succinct overview of project status, milestones achieved, and upcoming objectives.
    • Performance Metrics: Highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress against predefined targets.
    • Risks and Mitigation: Identify project risks, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans to address potential issues.
    • Next Steps: Outline actionable steps for continued project advancement and stakeholder engagement.
    CDRLs (Contract Deliverable Requirements List):
    • Weekly Status Reports: Summarize project activities, accomplishments, and challenges encountered during the week.
    • Monthly Progress Updates: Provide a comprehensive overview of project progress, budget utilization, and schedule adherence.
    • Quarterly Reviews: Conduct in-depth reviews of project performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing corrective actions.

    Telework Availability: Hybrid, meaning must be able to come into our Annapolis Junction MD location regularly, but some tasks may be done remotely.

    Summary Pay Range:

    Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    $20 - $30 per hour
