Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Level M) to join our F-22 Modernization team. In this role, the focus will be on providing overall leadership to complement the existing Modernization leadership team. The position would have responsibility for the capture, execution, and oversight of the F-22 Modernization Capability Development, Special Projects and Pipeline delivery via multiple Delivery Orders (DOs) and Task Orders (TOs) and associated Project Managers. The executing resources for these efforts are primarily staffed by technical engineers and other personnel resident in the Capabilities / Functions, including but not limited to the Mission Systems Software and Test teams, requiring continuous and transparent communication and integration.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities

Duties of this leader will include (but are not limited to):
  • Establishing and communicating objectives and goals to ensure common direction
  • Responsible for delivery of high quality products and services on time and on cost to customer
  • Providing technical, cost, and schedule performance oversight for the program
  • Developing and using customer communication and contact plans
  • Working with the Capabilities and Functional Organizations to:
    • Identify, track and communicate staffing requirements
    • Support team with rapid resolution of issues
  • Coach and provide feedback/reward on performance indicators
  • Developing and maintaining a program strategy that aligns with the Customer and stakeholders goals
  • Advocating for the program to keep it relevant and viable
  • Applying Program Management Best Practices
  • Responsibility for the management of the Program Risk, Issues, and Opportunities

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • 10+ years' experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 5+ years' experience with modernization and development of aircraft programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules
  • Experience in Portfolio Management
  • Experience managing Avionics / Mission System programs / projects
  • Experience working with and presenting to technical, managerial and executive level audiences
  • Experience working as a change agent and/or transforming businesses
  • Experience working on the F-22 Program
  • Experience managing within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience working with Lockheed Martin

Summary pay range: $180,200 - $243,800

Entry into this classification is limited to candidates approved by the enterprise-wide Program Management Process Council or its designee. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
