Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking an Experienced Procurement Field Representative (Level 3 or 4) to join the Charleston Delivery Center (CDC) inNorth Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd Shift!

At Boeing, it is the responsibility of Field Representatives to proactively problem-solve and drive overall supplier recovery to ensure delivery and quality compliance. The selected candidate will ensure suppliers are meeting scheduled milestones to all our business units, and will act as a liaison, cross functionally, to protect the aircraft and delivery schedule. Position Responsibilities:
  • Monitor emergent offload/overload suppliers including outside processors, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity
  • Identify, establish and maintain priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance
  • Communicate across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns
  • Co-facilitate with the supplier and procurement agent the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements
  • Identify needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance
  • Participate with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy
  • Monitor suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provide status back to supervisor and procurement agent
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and report back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent
  • Assess supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent
  • Support supplier work movements to ensure seamless execution

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to travel/commute daily (up to 25%)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in Project Planning; Scheduling; Project Management
  • 1+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations
  • 3+ years of experience of airplane interior and systems knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing the Boeing production system
  • 3+ years of experience in velocity radars and IVT
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Knowledge of the Boeing production system
  • Able to access and interpret Boeing airplane drawings, procedures, and processes

Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range level 3: $88,400 - 119,600

Summary pay range level 4: $102,850- 139,150
