Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking to add an Experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to join the Digital Aviation Solutions Product Operations team based in Englewood, CO, Plano, TX or Seattle, WA.

As a member of the Product Operations team established to aid product professionals within the Portfolio & Product Management organization, this position will provide value add operational support at a global level, including collecting, analyzing and summarizing customer and product data collected directly or indirectly through tools such as user forums, data analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, and other systems used in the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the Portfolios & Product Management organization
  • Actively engage with product professionals and their engagement partners to understand pervasive problems (e.g. pain points) as it relates to organizational data collection, aggregation and reporting needs
  • Identify new opportunities for the use of data for all functions across the organization
  • Provide data-driven solutions to enable teams across the company to make more informed decisions
  • Partner with the data engineering teams to provide high-quality data requirements and leverage underlying data foundation to build solid data ETL pipelines across the organization
  • Aggregates and exposes customer and product data collected directly or indirectly through tools such as user forums, data analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, etc., to enable product managers with high-quality data - this is not an analytics function but rather an enablement role
  • Developing reporting, dashboards and data visualization capabilities through office applications to improve business processes and decision making
  • Analyzing business requirements and processes and recommending them to stakeholder (users, managers and executives) for implementation
  • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the Portfolio & Product Management organization for efficiency and profitability
  • Maintains a balanced approach to product management and development that incorporates external inputs and needs with internal pressures and requirements
  • Gains a deep understanding and familiarity with the various offerings within the Digital Aviation Solutions portfolio, as well as the key issues and opportunities ahead
  • Demonstrates use of process methods and tools within a structured or defined environment
  • Participates in documenting business processes and data models
  • Collecting, analyzing and documenting requirements from stakeholders
  • Supports the team by collecting task status and creating visibility materials of project, as required
  • Influence, negotiate, and act as a change ambassador with a global and diverse audience
  • May develop or assist with the development process standards, guidelines, methods and tools

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Has strong data ETL pipeline development and data visualization experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Proficient using querying languages like SQL (or equivalent)
  • Proficient using scripting languages like R or Python (or equivalent)
  • Proficient using visual analytics platform like Tableau (or equivalent)
  • Experienced developing solutions associated with data needs of product management and teams who support products
  • Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a strong bias toward actionable insights
  • Has a passion for communicating insights through the language of data
  • Experienced and comfortable working for a fast-paced, results-driven global organization
  • Demonstrates ability to drive change and transformation while dealing with ambiguity in a complex, dynamic environment
  • International experience, with associated cultural sensitivity, particularly considering the global scope of the Digital Aviation Solutions customers and teams
  • Experienced setting and executing OKRs (Objectives-Key-Results)

Typical Education & Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
