Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking a Technical Logistics Analyst (Service Technician) to become part of the BGS team. This role is based out of San Antonio, TX.

The successful candidate will be responsible to provide real-time operational support and technical expertise. The team and candidate will be responsible for sustainment and modification support to the USAF to help maintain and sustain its fleet of Boeing E-4B aircraft.

The candidate will evaluate maintenance requirements (e.g., task cards, service bulletins), research and process parts, materials, and tools to support maintenance requirements, and identify scheduled part removals. Additionally, this analyst will identify and plan for possible unscheduled needs for parts, materials, and tools based on historical maintenance activity and document such activity to ensure future improvement and adjustment of bill of materials. The analyst will also support research and process Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work with supplier management and external vendors to plan and pre-process overhauls and repairs for various parts. Furthermore, this position will provide training to junior technicians and technical analysts, and work closely with the USAF and Government customers to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX).

Position Responsibilities:
  • Gathers data from multiple sources to evaluate procurement requirements.
  • Receives customer reports and correlates to established spares and logistics needs.
  • Develops and provides reports and assistance to engineering, SM, and the customer in researching events to determine sustainability concerns.
  • Prepares routine correspondence and presentations for customer review and use in logistics planning efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance post hire.
  • Experience supporting Quality and/or Engineering teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, charts, graphs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Bills of Material, Engineering Drawings and Parts Lists.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience developing plans and schedules.
  • Ability to collaborate across Boeing IPTs (production engineering, sustainment engineering, program management, modification team, and/or finance).
  • Experience working with military or commercial derivative aircraft.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $65,450 - $88,550
