Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Quality Production Specialist - Material Review / Investigation to develop and administer the quality system that ensures and manages the integrity of company products and services. This position is located in Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
  • Applies basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Collects data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
  • Supports concurrence and acquires commitments to support program resolution.
  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
  • Builds airplane specific airborne software packages.
  • Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments
  • 1+ years collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data in a meaningful way

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • AA degree or higher
  • 1+ years working directly with suppliers
  • 1+ years using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook), Non-Conforming Material (NCM), Supplier Quality Information system (SQIS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • Experience developing presentations for senior leadership

Typical Education/Experience:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 65,450 - 88,550
