Boeing Ukraine Engineering & Technology Center is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build. Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry with 1+ years of working experience;
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret Engineering documentation - Engineering drawings and Specifications; including knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing principles and standards (ISO, ASME, GOST/DSTU etc.)
  • Knowledge of PLM/PDM and Configuration Management principles;
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations;
  • Knowledge of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies;
  • Knowledge of producibility and process improvement methodologies (e.g., statistical process control [SPC], Hardware Variability Control [HVC], 6-Sigma);
  • English language level - intermediate or higher.
  • Existing rights to work in Ukraine.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry with 3+ years of working experience in an aerospace manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables;
  • Basic knowledge of aerospace products development lifecycle and Lean production system principles;
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14 series standards, including ASME Y14.5-2009 and ASME Y14.5-2018 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • Basic knowledge of the processes and procedures for certification of aircraft, including Federal Aviation Authority [FAA] and foreign regulatory agency (e.g., EASA) requirements;

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Ph.D., Master+3 years' related work experience).
