Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA! As a part of the Estimating Organization, this position will support the Material Estimating team. This is an outstanding opportunity to support any of our numerous platforms within our portfolio including: Space and Launch, Government Satellite Systems.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develops basic estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
- Participates in evaluation of requests for proposal, substantiates routine estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
- Performs analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, driven, etc.)
- Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems
- Develops routine estimating and pricing methods and builds basic pricing models
- Supports the development/application/maintenance of rates and factors for estimating, pricing, and proposals
- Assists with compliance, policy and procedure development, and development/deployment of systems and tools
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in a business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel to gather, format, and manipulate data using mathematical, accounting and organizations functions/formulas/macros within the tool for the purpose of performing both business related and technical analyses
- Experience presenting to Senior Leadership
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities
- Basic understanding of the proposal process
Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
